WWE Smackdown Results 2/3/12: The Smackdown Elimination Chamber Participants Are...

Show starts and Teddy Long goes right to introducing the participants in the Smackdown Elimination Chamber match. It will be Daniel Bryan, Wade Barrett, Big Show, Cody Rhodes, Mark Henry, and Randy Orton. Henry doesn't like the fact that he has a 1 in 6 shot at the championship. He lets Long know that he's the meal ticket for Long and wants to be out of the chamber match. Instead, he wants a one-on-one match with Bryan tonight. Long doesn't back down from the intidimation and takes Henry out of the chamber match. However, Henry won't get the title match tonight. Henry puts his hands on Long and is then indefinitely suspended. Henry wants to get his money's worth but Sheamus intervenes and Brogue Kicks the former champ.

Sheamus won't decide which championship he's going after until after Elimination Chamber. Rhodes interrupts and states that no one will remember Sheamus as winner of the Rumble. They will remember him lasting over 45 minutes and eliminating the most men (including 2 Hall of Famers). Rhodes plans on being the first dual champion since Ultimate Warrior. Rhodes then takes a jab at Warrior's inability to be comprehended.

Sheamus and Rhodes would go on to have a good matchup. Rhodes pulls off the Beautiful Disaster kick using the guardrail and then a moonsault in the ring. Sheamus unveils a new finisher, putting Rhodes down with the air raid crash. The announcers state they have never seen that before.

Rhodes doesn't leave the ringside area after his match and Justin Gabriel is in action next. Hunico wants everyone to know that he and Camacho aren't thugs and people shouldn't be nervous around them. Rhodes would attack Gabriel and it's a three-on-one attack until The Great Khali's music hits. Hunico and Camacho try to fight Khali but are unsuccessful. Rhodes had long scurried away.

Drew McIntyre is still begging for another chance. Long tells him that he needs to find another way to impress him and be glad he is still employed. Santino has a new tag partner he wants to try out, Jim Duggan. They form the team SantinHOOO!

Aksana and Long have their usual innuendo-laced conversation. The centerpiece of this is Duggan's 2x4.

Santino is 0-2 with his tag partners against Primo and Epico. Rosa Mendes tries to distract Santino but Santino won't let that happen. He still walks into a Backstabber from Primo.

Is there anything as funny yet annoying as Daniel Bryan's cries of "YES!" as he heads to the ring? I love it. Seems like Michael Cole has had a change of heart when it comes to the champ. Cole extends a hand but Bryan reaches for the mic and says that the interview isn't about Cole but about himself. Bryan reminds us that he beat two men on Sunday and is a role model. He wants folks to be like him and be a vegan. Amazing that a guy who talks about saving animals is being booed. "We want bacon!" chant erupts. He feels that he shouldn't have to fight in the chamber against five other men, especially against Big Show. He runs down a list of things that works against Show being in the match. Bryan wants Long to take Show out of the match or he will take his case to the WWE Board of Directories.

Show says he would have been out sooner but he was in the back eating a steak. Bryan isn't a role model, according to Show. In the chamber there is no escape for Bryan. Daniel says that he may lose the title but it won't be to Show because Show will do what he does best--lose. Bryan starts to jab Show and Show attacks. AJ, neckbrace and all, comes to the ring to her boyfriend's aid. She stops Show from delivering the knockout punch. Crowd boos when Bryan hugs AJ outside the ring. Behind her back Bryan flashes an evil grin.

The gassy Natalya is still around.

Natalya and Beth Phoenix defeats Aksana and Tamina. Natalya starts the match but Beth tags herself in, unbeknownst to Natalya, and Glam Slams Aksana. Beth leaves Natalya in the ring. Natalya goes to add more insult to Aksana until she's kicked in the face by Tamina and gets a Superfly splash.

The Great Khali has been inserted in Henry's place for the chamber.

Orton isn't a fan of Barrett saying he will end his career and Orton plans on showing Barrett what's what in their no disqualification match. At the Elimination Chamber PPV Orton will be a 10-time champion.

With the match stipulation it was expected that Barrett and Orton leave the ring. That happens early in their encounter. Orton goes under the ring and brings out a table. It is he who goes through the table however. Barrett focuses on the back of Orton from this point on. When Orton starts a comeback Barrett tries to hightail it through the crowd. Orton gets things back to the ringside area. The mighty steel chair would come in handy for Barrett to turn the tide. Orton has enough to fight out of Wasteland and after a powerslam he now uses the chair. There goes Barrett into the chair propped between the turnbuckles. These two won't stay down and Barrett looks close to winning once again. Then an RKO hits out of nowhere. Orton isn't satisfied and hits a second RKO on the chair.

Long tells Bryan that next week he'll face Orton. Bryan goes to the ring and celebrates with his "YES!" shouts while Orton is doing his own post-match celebration.
