shocked. The talk turns to the Dirt Sheet show and Morrison puts down The Miz and then Dolph Ziggler. This brings Ziggler out and we get a Dolph Lundgren reference from Abe. JoMo gets the crowd to chant “Mr. Ziggles,” shutting Ziggler up.

Backstage, Regal was on the phone with the Board of Directors. They have changed the main event giving Christian partners. Those partners are Yoshi Tatsu, Goldust, and Tommy Dreamer. Ryder is not happy as he says the match should have stayed one-on-one.

We are in the land of extreme, this time coming from Boston, Mass. ECW opens with William Regal in the General Manager’s office. A “solemn” sounding Regal tells us that Tiffany was in a car accident and he has been placed as the GM on an interim basis. Regal is unable to make any decisions that affect the ECW Championship though. What he does do, though, is change the main event from Christian v. Zack Ryder to Christian v. Ryder, Ezekiel, Kozlov, and Regal in a 1-on-4 match.

After the theme song and opening sequence, we are welcomed to The Abraham Washington Show. Washington plays up the upcoming Decade of SmackDown! celebration this coming Friday. Tonight’s guest is Intercontinental Champion John Morrison.

Match #1: Paul Burchill v. Shelton Benjamin

Burchill seems to be the man who starts ECW off when it comes to matches. Sheamus attacks Benjamin as Benji walks down the ramp. After some abuse, Sheamus rolls Benjamin into the ring. Referees come down and force Sheamus to the back. The in-ring ref asks Benjamin if he can continue. The bell sounds and Burchill attacks Benji right away.

Burchill works on SB’s shoulder and arm. Sheamus had thrown Benji’s shoulder into the ring post earlier. Benjamin attempts a comeback but gets a back body drop to halt his momentum. Benjamin counters a suplex into a neckbreaker.
Paul Burchill puts Benjamin up on the top rope. He attempts a superplex but Benjamin is able to elbow Burchill off the top. A dive by Benjamin gets nothing. Knee drop, pin attempt, and then back to working on the shoulder by Burchill. The men begin exchanging punches but then Burchill hits a shoulder charge. When Burchill bounces off the rope again, Benjamin hits Paydirt for the win.

Winner: Shelton Benjamin by pinfall, using Paydirt
Opinion: A wonderful opener. Benjamin continues to get the cheers from the audience. Great work by both men: Benjamin selling the earlier attack and Burchill focusing on the shoulder. I really wish Burchill would get a push as he is extremely talented.

In the locker room, Christian is showed rallying his troops. He tells Dreamer that they are going to war and Dreamer knows all about that. Xtian tells Tatsu that it’s time to step up. We get a little comedy as Christian and Tatsu continuously exchange “thank you’s.” When we get to Goldust, Christian calls him a freak but assures him it’s okay because Goldust is a part of the team.
Main Event: Christian, Dreamer, Tatsu, Goldust v. Ryder and Ruthless Roundtable

Dreamer and Ryder start things off. After a couple arm drags, Dreamer tags in Goldust. Ryder is able to halt Goldust attack and tag in Kozlov. Yoshi gets a tag and hits a Burning Hammer. Kozlov tags Ezekiel. Tatsu uses his speed to avoid ‘Zeke and tag in Goldust. Ezekiel dominates Goldust before getting his boss in.

Regal works on Goldust then tags Ryder who continues the attack. Goldust gets an opening and tags in Captain Charisma. Christian avoids the Zack Attack and hits the Flashpoint. The ECW Original is back in and he hits a powerslam on Ryder. A distraction by Regal allows Ryder to down Dreamer. Regal is tagged in.
Zach Ryder
Back from break, Ezekiel is taking it to Dreamer. Regal is tagged back in and he does a bit of trash talking. ‘Zeke gets tagged but Christian is also. Kozlov low-bridges Christian who flies to the outside. Ezekiel then suplexes the ECW champ back in the ring. A pin attempt only gets the big African a two.

Two backbreakers by Jackson before he tags Kozlov. Kozlov puts Christian in a torture rack and then hits a fallaway slam. Ryder gets tagged and he attacks the fallen Christian. Kozlov is back in and Christian is able to hit a missile dropkick. Tatsu is tagged, so is Ryder. Roaring elbow followed by double knee to Ryder’s chest by Tatsu. A spinning heel kick from the top rope gets Tatsu a two count. All Hell breaks loose as all the men begin to fight.

Regal tags himself in and when he charges at Tatsu he gets kicked in the head.

Winner: Face team by pinfall; Tatsu kicks Regal in head.
Opinion: A good closing number here. All eight men had enough offense. The quick tags were good to give everybody enough time. With Tatsu pinning Regal, what happens now with Christian’s next challenger? This was an episode that had two good matches, but I prefer ECW giving us three matches on the regular.
